About

In 2018 the Parish of Radipole and Melcombe Regis ( a team of local churches ) raised funds and purchased an old Vicarage in order to develop it into a Youth, Children’s and Families Centre. Hope House is now up and running hosting a range of groups and activities through the week.

The work at Hope House is overseen by the Parish and led by our Youth Work Pioneer – Joe Hobday and St John’s church Children’s and Families worker – Susie Coopey. They are supported by an incredible team of volunteers. You can get to know the team here.

As well as groups and activities at Hope House – there are also great things happening around the churches in the Parish and local schools – which you can find out more about here.

The values of Hope House are: Renewing Hope, Sharing Faith and Showing Love. Our aim is to provide a range of transformative services for children, families and young people.

Hope House is a base for Parish Youth work

A place that young people can call home and be proud of. A place where people have fun, develop friendships, explore, grow and share their faith.

Hope House is open to all young people

An accessible and inclusive youth centre which accommodates a range of different types of youth work and youth groups.

Hope House is a place of collaboration and partnership

A place where partnerships between the church, local schools and a range of other service providers are actively promoted. A place of collaboration where best practice is championed and pursued. A place which signposts people to the services they need.

Hope House serves the wider community

Whilst the emphasis is on children, families and young people – Hope House is also open to providing space for a range of local community projects for all ages.

We hope you’ll enjoy looking around the website to find out more about what’s on offer at Hope House and around the Parish. Feel free to get in touch with any questions.
