SJKids

SJ Kids is our Sunday morning group for Primary School aged children and meets every week during the St John’s 10.30am service. We leave the main service and head over to Hope House where we do church in a fun, age- appropriate way, including songs, games, videos, craft. Our heart is to see every child have their own personal relationship with Jesus and we recognise the privilege we have in playing a small part in helping this develop.

IGNITE Youth Group

Ignite is a Sunday morning group for secondary school-aged young people. We meet at St John’s Church at 10.30am then head over to The Loft at Hope House. At Ignite, we believe in the power of coming together to support one another through the challenges of life. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where young people can grow in faith, build strong friendships, and find practical ways to achieve their life goals. Each week, we dive into meaningful Bible study sessions, exploring stories and lessons that offer wisdom and guidance for today’s world. We encourage open discussion, sharing personal experiences, and offering mutual support. It’s a space where you can be real, grow in your understanding of God, and find practical steps to overcome obstacles in your life.

Sunday: 16+ Group 7.30-9.00pm

Introducing the new 16+ Group at Hope House……

In October 24 we were excited to launch our new 16+ group at Hope House! Meeting on the second and fourth Sunday of every month from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., this is a space where we can walk together through the journey from school to the next adventures of life. It’s a time for encouragement, challenge, and friendship as we navigate this exciting phase of life.

From cook-offs and eating competitions to chill-out nights and Bible studies, we’ll meet at Hope House and in each other’s homes, building community along the way. Join us for fun, growth, and meaningful connections! A rota will be available so you know where we’re gathering each month.

Youth Worship Nights

Coming in 2025. A time for young people from all over Weymouth to come together to worship God, grow in their faith and support each other. More info coming soon.

Monday Prayer meeting. Mondays.12.30-1pm

There is a weekly prayer meeting @ Hope House for anyone wanting to come along and pray. We will be praying for Hope House and the ministry to young people and families in our Parish. Every week during term time.

Tuesday: Alpha Group 6-7.30pm

This is the continuation of the fantastic Youth Alpha Course that was started in February 22. It is aimed at secondary age students. Every week a meal will be served, normally at St John’s Church. We then head over to Hope House to explore what the Bible’s got to say about this complex thing we call LIFE. Our discussions are extremely varied, from… ‘What does a disciple look like?’ Disciplined. Imitator. Set Apart. Called. In touch. Pleasing and Purposeful. Loving. Excellent. Over the past year we have had open and frank discussion around faith and racism, war and quite a few sessions on mental health and wellbeing. The most recent standout session we looked at our amazing universe with the help of the Louis Giglio YouTube clip “If the Earth were the size of a golf ball”.

Thursday Youth Clubs @Hope House

Connect Mini Youth Club. 5.15-6.30pm. Youth Club for Year 5s and 6s: Offers a fun and engaging environment for younger students to socialize and participate in activities after school.

Hope House Youth Club 7-8.30pm

Designed for secondary age students, this youth club provides a place for teenagers to unwind, connect with peers, and engage in recreational activities.

Summer of Fun

Annual summer events consisting of weekly outings and community service activities during the summer holidays. – Activities include theme park trips, community social action projects, and involvement with food banks and social supermarkets. These programs collectively aim to empower children and youth by providing spaces for learning, socializing, and making a positive impact in the community during the school holidays.
